Coaching is not therapy, and it doesn't replace professional clinical help. Think of hiring a coach as having an accountability partner you can trust. Someone who works alongside your therapist, not in place of them.
Where therapy often reaches back into your past, helping you connect the dots between what happened then and what you're feeling now so you understand yourself more deeply, coaching lives in the power of the present. Together we focus on the road ahead. How to get from where you are right now in your recovery to the outcome you're reaching for.
At its best, the two work together. Therapy helps you understand yourself by connecting your past and your present, and coaching takes that self-knowledge and builds an empowering future from it. One that comes from your own agency and your own authentic vision.
How I coach
A note on how I coach. I'm direct. I lead with compassion and full acceptance of where you are, but I pair it with radical honesty, because I don't think gentleness and truth are opposites. You won't get the over-validation or the molly-coddling that fills so much of social media and generic wellness advice. That feels good for an afternoon and changes nothing. I'll meet you with warmth, and I'll also tell you the truth. This is a partnership, but the work is yours. I can hold space, reflect honestly, and walk beside you, but I can't do the growing for you. I'll ask you to take this seriously, to treat your recovery as worth your full commitment, because you're the one who gets to live the life on the other side of it.

Present- and future-focused
We start from where you are today and work toward where you want to be. Less excavation of the past, more momentum forward.
Action-oriented and goal-based
We set concrete goals and break them into the next doable step, then track what actually moves the needle for you.
Support between sessions
Recovery happens in the in-between. Coaching is built for those ordinary hours, not just the hour we're on a call.
Real-time skills practice
We rehearse and refine the skills you're building (meals, boundaries, self-talk) in the moments they're actually needed.

- You're past acute crisis and ready to focus on habits, accountability, and forward motion.
- You want a thinking partner for the daily work of living beyond the eating disorder.
Clear boundaries
What coaching is not
Being honest about the edges of this work protects you. These boundaries aren't fine print. They're part of doing it ethically.
- Therapy, counseling, or any form of psychotherapy.
- Medical or nutritional treatment, diagnosis, or a meal plan from a dietitian.
- A replacement for your therapist, physician, or care team.
- Crisis care or emergency support.
Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Coaching is not therapy and does not replace clinical treatment.

The shape of our work
A discovery call first
We always begin with a free, no-pressure call to make sure coaching is the right fit for where you are.
Virtual 1:1 sessions, 45–60 minutes
Private one-to-one sessions by video, scheduled to a rhythm that supports you.
Optional between-session chat support
For the in-between moments. Light, asynchronous check-ins on some packages, so you're not holding it all alone until the next call.
